Announcement: NARCAN Training Session
On Thursday, May 29th, Calais High School will be hosting a NARCAN training session. This important event is scheduled to take place at 2:00 PM and is open to all students and faculty members who are interested in participating.
The training will provide valuable information and skills related to NARCAN, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. We encourage everyone to attend, as this knowledge can be crucial in emergency situations. Your involvement could make a significant difference in our community's health and safety.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Tomorrow's baseball and softball game has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 29th, at 3 PM in Calais. This game will be senior night for both Calais teams.

Update on Our Coffeehouse Event
We would like to share an important update regarding our upcoming coffeehouse on May 27th. The start time has been moved forward by half an hour; it will now begin at 6:30 PM.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the kids and supporting them as they perform music for our audience. We hope to see you there!

Over the past few months, we have welcomed several speakers who shared their insights with our students on themes such as perseverance, resilience, and mental toughness. They emphasized the importance of never giving up and pushing through even the most challenging times.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to three remarkable individuals who took time from their busy schedules to engage with our students. Thank you for your valuable contributions!

Schedule Update for Baseball and Softball
We will be traveling to the University of Maine, Orono, to compete in a doubleheader on May 27th. The first game will begin at 5:00 PM and will be played under the lights.
I understand that playing doubleheaders can be challenging, and it’s always difficult to give up our home fields. However, due to weather conditions and game scheduling restrictions, we must remain flexible with our arrangements. Ultimately, our priority is to ensure the kids have the opportunity to play. We believe this is an excellent chance for the students to compete on an authentic field illuminated by lights.
Important Rules for Players:
No metal cleats
No sunflower seeds or gum
Thank you for your understanding and support!

Weather Update and Upcoming Sports Events
With all the rain we've been experiencing lately, it's hard to believe that it's baseball and softball season. Unfortunately, the weather has not been on our side, making it challenging for our teams to practice and prepare.
That said, we are excited to announce that both the softball and baseball teams will be heading to Holton tomorrow for a much-anticipated doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM. Please note that the bus will be departing from the high school at 1:00 PM, so be sure to arrive on time.
In addition, our tennis team will also be competing tomorrow, traveling to PVHS for their match. The tennis match is set to kick off at 3:30 PM, with the bus leaving the high school at 12:30 PM.
We wish all our student-athletes the best of luck as they compete on the fields and the courts. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some favorable weather!
