Skills USA Team Competes in Bangor

On Thursday and Friday of last week, the Skills USA team at SCRTC competed at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. From the competition, the team brought home several medals: Mackenzie Bennett with gold, Dylan Carrier with gold, Brooke Russell with silver, Chase Lord with silver, and Kale Sapiel with bronze. All Skills USA members put in lots of effort and competed excellently under pressure.

CHS Academic Decathlon Team Competes, Brings In Several Medals

On the weekend of March 2nd, the CHS Academic Decathlon team competed in the state competition at Scarborough High School. The Blue Devils ended up taking home seven medals. Haley Way got a bronze in interview, Terry Montemaggi got a gold in interview and silver in music, and Hannah Gadway got silver medals in art, interview, and speech and a gold in literature. Congratulations to all the Blue Devil competitors.

Pennies for Patients at CES

Pennies for Patients is currently being held at CES. Pennies for Patients is a competition in schools where classrooms compete to collect the most amount of pennies. The pennies collected in the entire school are then tallied together and donated to help victims of leukemia.

CHS Lady Devils Destroy Madawaska Eagles in Quarterfinals, Set Record for Threes

This morning at 9:30AM, the CHS Lady Devils took on the Madawaska Owls in the Class C Quarterfinals at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. The Lady Devils defeated the Owls with a sweeping score of 74-42. The Lady Devils put up a dozen threes in the tournament; Lauren Cook with six, Olivia Huckins with five, and Sophia McVicar with one. These dozen threes set a state record for tournaments in all classes. The Lady Devils will be advancing in the Class C tourneys later this week.
