The Calais Middle/High School has started a banner campaign to honor our Senior students. These banners will be hung on the lamp posts in downtown Calais. Many Seniors have already submitted their photo to be used on their banner. If you have not already done so, please submit these photos as soon as possible as it will take some time to get them printed. You can submit the photo to Karyn Demmons at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop the photo off at CM/HS.
The Calais Middle/High School is working through the NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation process. We are requesting parents of middle and/or high school students complete the NEASC survey at https://surveys.neasc.org/s3/
Please be sure to watch our website and/or Calais School Department’s Facebook page from May 20 – 29, 2020. During that time we will be hosting a Virtual Honor Assembly for our top 7 ranking Seniors. Each day we will spotlight a different honor part with a video from a staff member that Senior chose to speak on their behalf. We will begin on May 20th with a video for our 7th honor part and finish with our Valedictorian’s video on May 29th.
Because the on-site school year ended abruptly, we will be scheduling times when students will be able to come into the school and clean out their lockers. This will begin on Tuesday, May 26th go through Friday, June 5th from 9am to 1pm. These times must be scheduled due to the State’s social distancing guidelines. Please contact Karyn or Sandie in the CM/HS front office at 454-2591 to schedule a time.
Thanks to Tradewinds and their store manager, Mrs. McLellan, all senior students will be receiving a Hannaford gift card that can be used at any Hannaford store (it cannot be used at a Tradewinds convenience store). Those gift cards will be mailed directly to seniors in the coming days.
