2nd Annual Addison Coty Memorial Turkey Trot 5K

The 2nd annual Addison Coty Memorial Turkey Trot 5K was held at the Robbinston Grade School on Saturday November 16th. Addison Coty was a beloved member of CHS; a graduate of the Class of 2018 who tragically lost his life in an automobile accident in July 2018. Addison was an accomplished athlete. In addition to starting in basketball, he ran cross country for CHS, finishing fifth in Class C during his senior year of high school. Thus, Addison’s mother Angela organized a memorial 5K run to celebrate his life and love of running. The Turkey Trot debuted in 2018 and this year was the 2nd run. The Turkey Trot was a great success with a great turnout and lots of support from the community and Calais Schools community. (Pictured left, two runners pose for a photo after running in the memorial Turkey Trot for Addison.)

CHS Student Council Rockathon & Fundraising

Every year, the CHS Student Council holds a rockathon to raise money to buy gifts for those in need. Each student council member gets a pledge sheet where donations are given in pledge amounts. The fundraising culminates with the entire student council rocking in rocking chairs for several hours non stop. The student council also delivers gifts to children at the Aroostook Mental Health Center before Christmas. (Pictured left, the CHS student council pose for a photo after completing the Rockathon.)
