I was so excited and pleased to see all of the family members and friends at the holiday Concert. I think that we all can agree that the kids did a great job. Thank you all for coming and supporting out students.

Next week we will be having a half day on Thursday, December 21st and this is the beginning of the Christmas break. School will reconvene on January 2nd.

Calais Elementary School staff want to wish all of our families a happy holiday season. Enjoy your time with your families.

The weather is getting cold. If you need assistance getting warm outerwear for your student, please contact the school and we may be able to assist in these efforts.

Thank you for your commitment to your students and our school.

The Polar Express was a huge success. It was our busiest one ever. For those of you who came, you saw how much work went into preparing for the event, and putting on the event. All of this work was done by the school staff. The majority of the staff were here until 7PM the night of the activity all on their own time. I am so proud of the CES staff and all of the hard work they for your student. If you have an opportunity, please thank your students’ teachers/support staff, for all they do.

Please visit our Calais School Department website. Shane Delmonaco, a Calais High School Freshman, along with John Bragdon Technology Instructor from Saint Croix Regional Technical Center have updated our website. We will be uploading pictures from the Polar Express as well as the concert next week on the web site.

Our annual Christmas concert will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. It will be held at Calais Elementary School. As we did last year, there will be two concerts, one for grades k-3 and one for grades 4-6. Grades K-3 will be from 5:30-6:15 and grades 4-6 will be from 6:45-7:30.

A reminder that the candy grams are due by next Friday.

For those of you who filled up at Circle K on the night that was designated for the school, please send in your gas receipts which will go in for a drawing for one of two Circle K gift certificates.

The weather is getting cold. If you need assistance getting warm outerwear for your student, please contact the school and we may be able to assist in these efforts.

Thank you for your commitment to your students and our school.

The annual Polar Express will be on Wednesday December 6th. The first train and sled will depart at 4 PM and the last one will depart at 6:45.

Our annual Christmas concert will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. It will be held at Calais Elementary School. Times to follow.

Your student will be bringing home their progress reports on December 8, 2017. Although the name of the document may be “progress report” versus “report card” they are two in the same. Every time that a document or information is shared with families about their students is actually a “progress report”. At the elementary school, one document should not mean more or less than another.

The family at Calais Elementary School would like to wish all of our families a Happy Thanksgiving. There is a half day of school next Tuesday and there is no school on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Please enjoy your time with your family.

The weather is getting cold. If you need assistance getting warm outwear for your student, please contact the school and we may be able to assist in these efforts.

Thank you for your commitment to your students and our school.
